So walked into a airgun store the other day and he had a rack of disco .177 for a good price so I bought a couple. Plan on turning one into a .22 and from what I've read it is as simple as a 22 barrel, bolt, and o-ring. Anyone ever converted one and is that all I need. Also have a tank of co2 and thinking about running the 177 off of it until I work up money for a tank and connections. Guy says it wont work, sounds like a new thing to me since they were supposed to run off of hpa and co2 and still list that in new gun adds. Anyone ever ran one on co2. Thanks guys!

The Discovery will work on CO2, but at a lower velocity than on hpa. However, when you do go to hpa after using CO2 in the gun, you may have to replace the seals to keep it from leaking on hpa. That was my experience with two Discovery's. But resealing the Discovery is an easy project, so shoot away with the CO2 and enjoy the gun.

You are correct, a barrel, bolt and o ring for bolt is all you need to convert it. And as Jonah stated c02 will be fine but orings will likely need replacing when you go back to hpa. Pyramyd air still describes it a a duel fuel rifle.
