anyone have much experience with these pellets? i dont expect miracles, but i found a local store that has them for $4.99/250 . thought at least they could be sub 30 yd. pellets for the price.

You could just use Crosman Premier Hollow Points and they're great out to 50+. Seriously, they're great and no need to waste expensive pellets for close work/fun IMHO.

The worst pellet jam I ever had was from those. I do not like them at all. Really, there is no need for super duper exotic pellets. Air guns make their kills due to shot placement many times over pellet design.

I don't normally buy them but they shot very well in my duked up Mac1 1322 carbine and 2 of my Airwolf MCTs and a Macarri RWS 48. The Crosman Premier Hollowpoints and especially the pointed in the 175 count tins shot more accurate though.
