Benjamin Bulldog fill nipple is different than my Marauder nipple - HELP

I have a Marauder pistol and the fill nipple fits the female fitting on my pump. I recently bought a Bulldog from a private party and the male nipple is different so my pump connector doesn't fit (see image). The seller says they did not change the fitting, but it seems odd that the two guns have different nipples.

Would like to have the same male fitting on both guns so my pump fits both. I'm guessing I could replace the Bulldog nipple with this one, but am new to PCP and would like to confirm so I can order the correct part.

Also, is replacing the nipple as simple as degassing the gun, unscrewing the existing nipple, and screwing in the replacement? Have seen mention of using teflon tape on the threads but notice the Marauder has some type of silicone or other thread sealant and would like to know the best practice.

I don't see how and why your female quick connect doesn't work for your BULLDOG. Try it again. If still doesn't work even after sliding that collar back while sticking it onto that nipple and releasing the sliding collar and shaking and wiggling it while on that nipple even after its ON and give a tiny tug on that hose to let it grab then take pictures of your female Foster at the end of your hose and post them. Yo!

I had a similar problem with a fill nipple.
Try taking a piece of emery cloth, fine file, etc., to the edge of the raised portion of the nipple so that it’s smooth. It appears there is a bit of flashing around the edge. That’s what caused mine not to snap in the foster fitting. Be sure to wipe down the nipple before you insert it into the foster fitting so you don’t introduce any metal shavings.

AHHH SO THATS IT! NO WONDER I had to do the good ol CYCLOPS JOE's WORLD-RENOWNED NIPPLE TWISTER to get it to snap on to one of my guns!!! Yo!

Thanks for all the input! I took davecole's suggestion and removed some material from the shoulder. But as shown in the original image, there was over 1/32" to remove so I opted to use a Dremel. The female foster will now lock on securely and I was able to fill her up for the first time.

However, it looks kind of shoddy and with that much pressure in the hose I would prefer to get a new male foster connect. Is this the proper connector?

And is replacing the nipple as simple as degassing the gun, unscrewing the existing nipple, and screwing on the replacement? Have seen mention of using teflon tape on the threads but see some sort of silicone or other thread sealant from the factory and would like to know the best practice. Thanks!

Wrong fitting Order a replacement from CROSMAN. ARE YOU SURE DAVE say to do THAT??? Yo!

I tried taking the edge off the corner as davecole suggested, but it didn't help as nowhere near enough material was removed. I then removed 1/2 as much material as you see in the After Mod image and the female still would not connect so I slowly removed more until it would.
Look very closely at the original photo and the 1/16 markings on the ruler. You'll see that the raised area of the Bulldog nipple was a LOT wider than the same raised area on the Marauder nipple.

It looks like someone replaced the fill nipple on that BD. Just checked mine, it is silver and looks exactly like your picture of the Prod one.

Do not use the BD with that rounded off fill nipple. You can get seriously hurt when that fill hose come off. Call Crosman and order part #1761-106 which is the same as what is in the Prod. I believe the crosman part will come with tape or sealant already on the threads. It will also come with plunger/o-ring.
