any bulldog owners out there that have had to deal with leaking degasing screw?what type of screw,size metric or SAE,material type?help. Recondo2142
Benjamin bulldog .357. degasing fitting has developed a slow leak.

I have had nothing but good behavior from my Bulldog, but several people have claimed that using Teflon tape around the threads of the screw is useful. Some have gone as far as to use epoxy, but I do not like repairs which cannot be reversed.

I pulled the screw and placed silicone rtv sealant on the threads reinstalled,let it sit overnight then refilled to 3000psi and it seems to be holding pressure.was leaking about 500psi over night.I'll let it sit for 24 hours.i sprayed soapy water on fitting seems to be holding pressure.

Why the need to de-gas so often? Or is it if you use it once it now leaks?
The fill unit seem to be standard crosman, if wanting to degas could you not bleed off slowly like a disco ... ?

well i degased to install a Depingger.the old school cut tubing placed inside the reservoir.well now that pitbull airguns(matt)has come out with his 3d printed Depingger,just got it in the mail.well now I'm going to install that,hoping it works better than that tubing.
