Benjamin Akela cleaning schedule

After you first buy the rifle clean the bore and then don’t mess with it anymore until you notice accuracy issues. You really can’t put an exact number of shots on it that apply to everyone. Assuming you are only shooting pellets you could conceivably shoot all year and only do a good bore cleaning before you put it up for the winter or whatever.
When you clean the barrel thoroughly like that, you’ll likely lose some accuracy until you’ve put several magazines worth of pellets through it again. It’s really not something you want to do all the time.
If you are trying to shoot slugs your factory barrel will foul much faster and you’ll have to clean it very regularly to maintain the accuracy.
There are no corrosive salts involved with shooting airguns like there is for shooting powder burners so there’s less need to be anal about cleaning the barrel.
