Benjamin 397 scope suggestions.

Looking for suggestions for a new scope to replace the cheapo that came with my rifle. Currently have a centerpoint fixed power. Rifle is surprisingly accurate at 30yrds even with this scope. I don't plan on joining the olympic shooting team so I'm not spending several hundred dollars. I don't find a lot of information on these guns which is sad because like I said it is a really nice piece. A little hard to pump but worth the effort. Any help will be appreciated. David

i also use a 2-7x scope on my benjis and dans , but i mount my scope up on the gun just before the rear sight. i use a pistol or scout scope and the izh46 scope mounts from sun optics which are weaver. i have used the benjamin / sheridan scope mounts that provide a small dovetail, too. .... i find my sheridan using jsb's and the scope makes 5-shot groups at 40 yards as good or better than anything i have ( dime-size ) , but it'd be hard to know how accurate these are without scope. -- it's a little expensive , but the coolest , most effective scope arrangement i have seen on an american pumper was the one from mac1 airguns that just slides over the bolt housing of your 397 / 392 . that provides weaver rail. i bought a .22 steroid benji that had that mount and a beeman short scope .. it also had a custom bolt handle that was just a knob that would not flip up and into the bottom of the scope. here's a method i havent tried , but looks interesting : https://www.airgundepot.com/benjamin-392-air-rifle-combo-4x32mm-scope.html
