looking for some ideas for a scope fora Benjamin 392.ive never mounted one on an AR before. I guess I’m in need of mounts , rings , etc. not looking to spend a lot.just for varmits.

You need an adaptor which AOA sells. This clamps to the barrel and provides a 11mm dovetail groove to which you can use any dovetail ring. I'd suggest Amazon . You can get scopes equipped with rings. Pretty straight forward once you have adaptor required. You might want to consider a scout scope because a reqular scope may be in the way when you pump the gun. Having gone thru this my best advice is to spend the money and get a springer. I never got my 392 shooting accurately enough for my use. Some times it's just better to bite the bullet.
