Benjamin 392 And 397

.........you dont have to know much to complete disassemble and reasemble a benjamin 397 or 392. and i have been wanting to try one of those trigger upgrades for the 397/392. if you got those little dovetails that clamp onto the barrel, you may have a little trouble getting them to lock down tightly. call me before you strip the screw and i'll walk you thru it. i have a 2-7x32 scout scope (pistol scope) mounted up past the rear sight which enables me to still put my hand around the breech area to pump more easily - where the black plastic hand guard is on sheridans to keep the brass bluing from wearing off there. i also have a 1/2 20 thread adaptor attached to the muzzle of my steroid bluestreak......then i screw on a tko silencer that is VERY quiet...... it's my truck gun, but i should probably be more gentle with it. it gets dime-size groups at 40+ yards on 8-9 pumps with the 13.7 jsb's. it's one of the best airguns i have.......just an old american sheridan (1972) ......but the jsb pellets and the scope make all the difference - i cant see well past ten meters.... but all the bells and whistles turn that into a $400 sheridan..... benjamin / sheridan were meant to be more like a survival gun... anyway , call me if you need help. i fix more of these benji / dan pumpers that any other airguns... 817-798-4598. .....and by the way, as mentioned above, those dovetails that mount over and around the bolt housing are really cool....thinking mac1 has those......but too hard to pump when the scope is in the traditional place as a rifle scope. lots of folks love those williams peep sights - there was on my steroid bluestreak sheridan i bought off brad's classys.......and they arent cheap - but i cant see poop thru one of those.... - paul. aka raneman.

I bought the 397 because I thought it might be accurate and reliable like the 20 caliber silver streak I used to have in the 1990s. I still want to buy a Sheridan 2260 though. I just don't have money to spare for it now. I only get 100 bucks a week and and I have about 200 bucks a month in bills to pay. So money is hard to save.
