Benjamin 112-117-177

I had ordered a new leather cup seal for my Benjamin 117 and when I put the brass end piece into it , it spread too wide to fit into the tube , the seller said they were thicker walled and as a result the ID was undersized for the original brass insert/plug ( they are-and really good quality) and I would need to "turn down" the insert to make them work . Tough sell - I have a Watchmakers 8mm lathe... so by looking around and experimenting I found at Home Depot "Everbilt #8 brass flat washers measure 0.050"under the brass insert diameter..stacked 6 in the cup..soaked in neetsfoot oil - bottomed out-tightened the original screw..works like ( I think) it should..one pump and "pop" 8 pumps and right at 300fps..JG Airguns sells these and they are great materials. Hopes this helps someone.
