I use to know how to score this situation but it got lost some where. On a BR 25 meter target I shoot my first pellet in the 10 ring and accidently shoot a second pellet into the same target that touches the 8 ring. Some one tells me you take the lowest score on that target which was a 8 with no other penalty. That didn't sound right to me because I thought you last more points then that for shooting the target twice. Would appreciate the correct way to score this situation. Thanks, Bill

I believe you get -10 points For that record bull? And or any extra pellet hole within the square scoring boundary (inner or outer)

Joe, you might have been thinking EBR type events. Each shot higher than 25 shots on the record bull area of the card is -10 points.

I Really just need to read the scoring rules! I thought my first yr of registered (2016) USARB matches that’s the way the match director scored them? I saved All my target cards since then so I might get ambitious and re score them, I know I shot more than one pellet into the scoring rings multiple times (don’t ask! Not proud...)

Thanks Dick, saved me some time!, that rule hasn’t been needed or challenged in the last few yrs. by any of our competitors, including me “NOT BRAGGING TRUST ME” I probably will Need that rule next match we are shooting 50yds

I did it at the 2015 Nationals in LV. Started the card and conditions kept changing. I kept going back to the “sighter” on the left....only I didn’t go quite far enough and put 3 shots on the number 1 bull. Felt pretty stupid. It happens.
