Bench shooting with my buddy Glenn this morning

My buddy Glenn ( @ GlennSr1 )came over this morning and we had a killer breakfast then shot our BB guns till lunch time.

We shot everything from paper to frozen watermelon cubes. Had a blast as usual. Sorry , I didn't get any pics but did manage to save a couple of the 100 yd targets and measure them.

His first time shooting 100 yds and I don't know how he even saw the target on 12 power? The first target we put up already had a few .177 cal holes from some earlier shooting at a closer distance. But he was aiming at the top right 1.5" circle with his scope on 12 power. I don't know how he did it? The mildot in the reticle looked as big as the circle through the scope and you could barely make the outline of the circle. But he managed a 3" group of the six shots on the top corner of the target. And to top it off he was shooting 14.3 grain Crosman Premiers with his Gamo Coyote. He emptied the magazine, so we're not sure where the other 4 shots went, but still amazing considering the circumstances and the wind was starting to pick up on us. I was unloading a 9 shot magazine with the Boss right beside him and only managed a 2 3/8" group for 9 shots and my scope was on 30 power.

I finally talked him into giving it a go with the Boss and he shot a 1 9/16" group with it his very first try (lower right).

Then I put up another target and we were gonna shoot more, but the way the wind picked up we just gave up. I did however manage a sub inch group in one of the lulls. Figured I'd post these since it's always so easy to post the best of my groups and not share the everyday groups. Glenn shot the top right. He's not sure if it was the wind or what on the flyer? Said it was huge difference in triggers from the Coyote and trying to get used to the Boss trigger. I put pellets in the farthest holes to make it easier to measure.

The most fun part of the day was shooting the frozen watermelon cubes. Wow they just vaporize into a fine mist when hit. I'm sure it would look awesome on a slowmo camera.

Thanks for another fun day of slinging lead Glenn.

Oh, and on a side note....check out this post that AGN was nice enough to move from General Discussion to the "Off Topics" for me ;-)

Isn't this just awesome! https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/wowza-d-t-jr-got-the-airgun-bug/

Peace and make airguns great period ;-)
