Beeman underlever pcp

Does any one know anything about the beeman underlever pcp air riffles? I like the look of them but I don't know anything about them. I'm more looking at something to "play" with than anything, shooting starlings target shooting. They are cheap enough but I've never owned a beeman (Crossman, benjamin, hatsan and kral are the riffles I've had). I'm not sure about the cooking mechanism but I think once you get used to it it would be alright. Thoughts?

I just bought one yesterday, and it is shipping today.

When I saw that AOA apparently had them in stock for $250, I bought one in .22.

AOA Beeman Under Lever

Yes, they are China made. But for the price, why not try one out? If anything with the smallish (can't find capacity anywhere) air cylinder and working pressure of only 3,000 psi, it should be readily hand pumpable for a little 'survival' type rifle.

The only bad thing so far is that the shipping cost me 12.5% of the total price of the gun! But we are living in an era of increasingly expensive commodity, shipping and labor costs, and even with the $30 shipping the overall cost from AOA was still the lowest I have seen.

A guy over on GTA was the first guy I saw who posted about getting one. Last I checked it was not very informative about the mechanics of the gun. They seemed to be hung up on talking about a baffle and making it quiet. For that money, and if I had no fear of a project gun, I’d take a chance on it. Yeah it’s made in some factory in Ping Pong China, but you know that going in so there should be no surprises.
