Beeman RX-1 Gas ram

Buy a 300 blackout upper kit and reload your own subsonic rounds. Build a tall rock wall around the perimeter of your property. There's a barrel adapter that's 1/2x28 to NAPA oil filter threads that I can't tell you what it's for you just have to find out for yourself if you got big balls.

Yea my balls are not that big. I cant shoot with buildings/houses within 200 yards and I have 3 houses that fall within that. I have a hill against the woods so its safe to shoot. I may have tested the AR. I cannot confirm nor deny that :)

I am doing the 80% lower route. Tired of what is going on..

Thanks Yo

A MUST for ALL THEOBEN GAS RAM gun owners!

Be sure to start EASY just ONE PUMP then run it over a chrony. You NEVER want to exceed the MFG. POWER level. If too much too fast tap the cap to release air like your car tire.

That FIRST PUMP may be one full stroke and just might be enough. Subsequent pump strokes must be shorter like just 1/4 stroke at a time otherwise you may blow that gas ram. Run it over a chrony each time.

Probably with the lightest Beeman Laser pellets whatever that weight was 9.2gr? Or Silver Bears 9.88gr?

Unless you already have the Beeman Lasers I personally on hand I wouldn't waste my money on those. That equates to 22.52fpe? For a 20 caliber gas ram? Are you sure?

Check straightshooters "our take" see if they have records or a HW90 same gun with JSBs or what's common like Beeman Kodiaks or H&N Baracudas should shoot great in your gun with the JSB 13gr.

I dont remember what the manufacturer spec is. I was thinking that the 20 caliber RX1 was about 1050fps. Sound about right?

I had a 5mm RX1 back in the early 90's and the velocity wasn't rated that high. The Sig ASP20 in .177cal has a rating of 1000+ fps. My RX1 shot the Beeman .20cal Silver Jet's @ 910 fps. I think they were in the 11 gr range.

Ok good info. I just tried google and only thing I found which ironically was on this site was:

"Beeman Silver Jets at 11 gr. @ 910 fps "

I might go on the low side anyway so its easier to cock. At least when wife and I are just plinking here at house.

That probably was my post. From what I recall I believe the RX1 in .20cal had a rating in the 940-960 fps range

My airpump came today. I thought I would try a small pump on it and see if it held air. Do not have a chronograph to use yet.

That made no difference in barrel cocking so I tried a full pump. Might have made a slight difference so I tried three pumps which started to feel some barrel resistance when cocking but could hear the gun hissing. Could not tell where it was coming from but was not out the adapter so going to assume its not the schrader valve.

So thinking I need to order parts.
