I recently got a new HW30s and I’ve shot about 300 pellets through it. Right at the end of the cocking stroke there’s a little bit of extra sound that is almost like something starting to rub. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t there when it was new, I think I would have noticed. I’m not saying that something is wrong with the gun, but it’s definitely not buttery smooth so I’m sending it to John in Pa.
When I visited with him he explained how the tune and Vortek kit would smooth that issue up. Now that I’ve shot it about 300 shots and know how it is, I’ll be curious to test it at the same distance after the tune and compare the before and after results. It’s so much fun to shoot I can’t wait to get it back! There’s just something special about a good springer.
