Hey Joe, been thinking about a Vortek for mine. Not for Power, just to smooth it out a bit. Even though it’s very mild manared, it’s a bit twangy, looking for just a thud. Whatcha think?

I’m having a lot of fun shooting my R7 with a peep sight. Today was a beautiful day in East Tennessee with very little wind. I shot my R7 at 11 yards and 21 for about 3 hours. I could cherry pick some very small one hole groups at both distances, but I’m not going to. I learned a few things today. My R7 likes a firm hold, the lack of accuracy isn’t the gun but the nut behind the trigger and my R7 is a very nice Airgun. Lesson learned.

Intensity vortek kits seem to make any Springer smoother shooting AND cocking !! This Rifle shot best by pressing buttplate into my shoulder fairly firm . I think it has more o do with my rear bag than anything.
I tried a fewother pellets that didn't shoot nearly well . It REALLY liked the AA /JSB pellets .

Beautiful R7 you have there. FWIW, Paul Watts only used JM springs and seals in all of his tunes. I have tried both JM and Vortek in my R7s and like them both. The Vortek kit has a bit more snap and power whereas the JM kit has a milder shot cycle.

Joe, really looking forward to the HW springer series of videos coming up that you mention toward the end of the video. Feel like the vast majority of chatter I've heard is about the 77 and 97, and I don't know much about the others in the lineup. Thanks for the info on the R7!
