Beeman R1 4x Scope Recommendation

I'm looking for light weight 4 power scope that will stand up to the R1 recoil. Any suggestions?

The Weihrauch labeled BSA 4xAO seems to handle well with decent glass but it's pretty expensive for what you get but at least it matches an "HW" gun. Otherwise a Leopold 3x9 EFR Freedom or an old version EFR from Leupold. I'd say your gun deserves atat least a Leupold. Never had any issues with all of mine. Don't settle for less. It's a real bummer having to send cheap or inferior scopes in for their lifetime warranty. I would have recommended Burris too but I had one fail on me on a springer. YO!

I put an old Leupold M8 4X32 scope on my R1 and just finished sighting it in at 43.5 tasered yards. It seem to be holding up just fine. I spoke with a Leupold employee who assured me the scope will hold to a magnum springer air rifle. Will see.

I'm not a fan of buying used scopes without a warranty but if you can find an old Beeman Blue Ribbon 54R for cheap and the seller will assure you it functions properly, that may be your ticket. I've had one on an R1 since new in 1988 and it has never failed me.
