I got a great deal on a used Beeman HW97 recently. I put a RWS 4-16x44 scope on it that I had laying around. I zeroed it at 22 yards and after having around 10 pellets touching at this distance, I put out some paintballs and bottle caps (horizontally) at 35 yards and was able to consistently hit them. The first pellets I tried was crosman dome 14.3 gr in the metal tin. Since they shot so well, this is the pellet I will continue to use with it. It's shooting them at an average of 660 fps, (13.5 fpe) and this is good for what I got the gun for. Like most of my springers, I will use it mainly for backyard plinking to get a break from PCPs.
