Hello this is my first post and my first Beeman PCP. I purchased it over the Labor Day Weekend and just got all the accessories I ordered for it... I brought it out to the bench this morning to zero the scope, run some chronograph numbers and a moderator for the noise.
The regulator appears to be working as the shot string is very consistent but very short also, only 20 shots before it falls off the green and under the regulator pressure changing the shot velocity... I started at 3500PSI and @750fps and shots were within 13fps over the first 20 shots, then it begins to drop rather quickly once the tank pressure falls near 1500PSI... Shot# 21 was 730fps... Shot #22 712fps.
I did a little research before purchasing this gun and according to AAR I was expecting around 35 regulated shots per fill before it fell off the regulator but that is simply not the case with this particular rifle. I have not made any hammer spring adjustments to manipulate the power nor any regulator adjustments to tune the gun for these specific pellets but I have been using the AEA 25.3gn Center Punch Diabolo pellets and obtaining an average of 742FPS generating around 30F.P.E. is this the best I can expect from the air rifle or is there something I need to do???
