Beeman 1357 under lever.

Just got into PCP air rifles and got a Beeman 1357 under lever. My question that I have is there a bigger air reservoir that can be put on it. If so I'd like to put a regulator in it. Either one made for it or one that can be fitted from another air rifle. Probably been talked about before but I just joined and didn't know where to look yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only place I know of who makes regulators for Beeman PCPs is Lane in the UK. They don't have anything specific listed for the 1357, so you would likely have to email or call them to see if one of their listed regs would fit your rifle.

I don't know of anyone who makes a larger air cylinder for the gun. You could get a small pony bottle and a tether for more shots when shooting off the bench. I use an Altaros tethering rig. This would also be useful for any future airgun you may purchase.

Not a lot of upgrades available for the 1357 as it has not really taken off in sales, and aftermarket companies only make money when there are a lot of guns in the field which may 'need' their accessories.

You probably just should have bought a gun with a reg and more air capacity. Plenty out there. If you put a reg in it, then do all the mods to make the reg actually function as it should, you’ll lose air capacity. Then if you put a longer tube on it off a Maximus or something, you’re going to have a weird looking gun. I would suggest messing with the hammer spring by either clipping it or experimenting with other springs to get a nice unregulated bell curve. Then enjoy the gun while you shop for what you really feel you need.

I have a post on here that will at least help improve your trigger . " Beeman 1358 Tuning and shooting". Your 1357 is pretty much the same except for caliber. I know the 1358 has a cliff shot curve using the stock spring. It is suggested to clip one or two coils off to get a bell curve. I clipped one coil off mine but you still have to have the HS backed almost totally off to get a good curve. Maybe the 1357 is similar. I also purchased a lighter spring that I have been testing out to get the best curve to my liking. Lane can make custom regs but you are going to be better off getting a gun that comes with one so everything is working in unison.

On the GTA site there is a person that has bottled his 1358. You have to be real experienced and have the capabilities to make parts if needed. Like Vetmx stated you should have probably bought a different gun with the features you want. So between lightening up the HS and getting the trigger better that's about probably the most you can expect for it.

Thanks for the help. I've done trigger and backed out HS. Shoots pretty good. Much more fun than my Gamo swarm mag. Guess I need to crank up the OT for awhile and get a better one. Still it's pretty good for the price.
