Beeman 1085 QB II for target practice at 30ft

I've been looking into getting a CO2 pellet rifle for target practice at home while staying at home during the pandemic. Having almost no knowledge on modern pellet rifles, I figure I should ask before either spending too much or too little.

The range I have setup in my garage is around 30 feet. I could open the door and get out to around 60, which would be the maximum distance anything I get would normally be used.

Looking at the sub $200 options, I came across this and would like to see if anyone has an opinion, or suggestions on alternatives.

Well, the QB platform is the best value in airguns in my opinion. Like any budget model, there's always some chance you're going to get one that leaks or needs some TLC to function better but the QBs have been better on an odds basis than comparable models from Crosman and SPA that I've dealt with. They're built with durable materials, tend to have good barrels, and have a fully adjustable drop-sear trigger that is unmatched at this price point. I much prefer a wood stock myself though. I think .177 better suits your described usage but if you are interested in a wood-stocked version, there is a very nice deal on a .22 on Amazon at the moment.

And if ever you get inclined to tinker, there's a ton of untapped potential in these airguns.

Buy the Daisy 853 10 meter match single stroke pneumatic no co2 to buy and shoots one hole groups at 60 feet all day long and is extremely pellet friendly. There's a pre owned one for only $120 at AoA stock#46 and NO I'm not a paid sponsor nor advertiser just a pretty darn rootin tootin shoot in parachutin happy long time customer that's all. That gun is rated 80% condition you can sand it and paint it a cool tactical black and do the trigger mod if you want and that's a much better gun than the QB. Scope it up and go shoot ants off of your targets at 60 feet all day long. Yo!

The daisy mentioned by Yo would’ve been absolutely perfect for the application as well. That’s also a steal for that airgun. The QB is quite powerful though so keep that in mind. Aftermarket.............................. and a few other options as well. Lol. As long as the higher power and loud noise isn’t an issue you’ll love it I’m sure.

Finally got some time to set things up and get some shooting in. Have to say I am satisfied with the gun. Ended up putting the cheapest Amazon sourced scope and bipod I could find on it, using a Black&Decker Workmate as a bench at 30ft, and the Gamo Match pellets that were $15 for 2000. Here's the first set of 90 after getting things zeroed, 3 shots each, left to right, top to bottom, with the left set of 15 being first.

There are 3-4 shots that I want to blame on the pellets, but there are also enough groups with only 2 holes and neither in the center to show I duplicated something wrong in the exact same way. For the last 20 shots the power really did start dropping off but it stayed accurate.
