Saw the thread on GTA about the Beeman 1085 a few days ago and went ahead and ordered one. It showed up today.
It’s definitely a QB dressed up a bit. All parts should just about be interchangeable.
It comes as a cock on open rifle. The hole you would use for a cock on close QB is still on the hammer.
The bolt is a hair different. A little longer maybe, with 2 o-rings.
The rifles use the same triggers, tubes, and 15mm barrels.
The rifle comes with one multishot magazine that loads just like a Marauders. It works just fine. I couldn’t find where to get spare magazines, but good news, a Marauder magazine or a Gauntlet magazine will work too. You will have to pull the stop pin out of the slot. Mine came out super easy with some needle nosed pliers. The Marauder magazine is a little tight in the breech, but it works fine.
This .177 is getting 560fps with Crosman 10.5s using CO2 carts. No power mods done. Aside from the shroud I added, it’s a stock rifle.
I like it. I’ve always liked QBs. It’s nice to get a complete rifle for the price I might have paid for just the breech from other vendors.
I apologize, I forgot to take photos before adding the shroud and oversized bolt handle. The last photo shows the rifle with a Marauder magazine loaded.
Unfortunately, .177 is all that is available right now.
For $120, it’s a keeper I think.
