Barrel shroud

I doubt if you would hear any difference. The value of venting the shroud probably depends on how the air is managed at the muzzle. If there is an air stripper at the muzzle, contained within the shroud, the air that is deflected to the rear has to go somewhere. My guess, if the shroud is not vented, then the air turbulence will exit at the muzzle. Whether or not that will affect accuracy is a question.
