What is the best way to clean the FX smooth twist barrel. patches, pellets, rods or is there something else out there that I don't know about. I was looking at prymid air and they have this SWAB ITS. Bore whips thing got some kind of foam thing on the end. want something that will last and not fall apart.

Don't clean unless accuracy has got worse. What pellet are you shooting? What gun? As I have said before, I've shot my two FX 500's at least 20,000 rounds each and still get 3/4in. or less groups at 50 yds. I only shoot JSB Kings. Not saying you don't need to clean. Just be sure you need to clean. Have fun, Scott

I use a piece of 50lb mono folded in half. I push that down the barrel and then put a swab where I folded it and pull it through.

This is for scott, I would have quoted you but for some odd reason It will not work. I have the FX independenence. I use H&N Barracuda hunter xtremes, some times I use JSB'S 18 GRAIN. it is a .22 cal. I was playing around with it last night and noticed that some pellets don't always zero in dead center. I even got a pelletgage to use ohhhhhhhhhh what fun that is. even used some terminators but they were way off the mark. the gun is on #3 power, AND YES I AM A NEWBIE at this stuff so any help is much welcome from greater mind's then mine.
