With the HW100 you do not need to wash and lube pellets, Use a good brand pellet, JSB pellets work great in both of my HW100's, I use in my .22 cal the JSB Jumbo Heavy Diabolo 18.3's work excellent, very accurate, in my .20 cal I use JSB 13.73 grn, be aware of loading the magazine the right direction, I've accidently loaded it backwards in the gun a couple times, DOH.... get some 100% Silicone oil and use it to add into the fill probe after every 10 fills, 5 drops will be enough, this will keep your fill port valve and other internal o-rings in good condition, your Regulator adjuster is in front of the trigger assembly, it requires disassembly of the gun so if you need to adjust it, you might need a qualified air gun specialist to work on it, unless you are very mechanically inclined like myself, adjusting the Hammer spring is fairly easy, you will need to remove the gun from the stock, there is a plate on the back of the action, it has 2 screws holding it, remove the plate and allow the cocking lever to slide back, inside is the hammer spring adjustment screw, there is a locking grub screw on the side of the Hammer screw assembly, loosen it before trying to adjust the Hammer spring screw, turn it in clockwise to increase power and out counter clockwise to decrease power, it is best to use a Chronograph to measure the speed of the pellet and adjust from there, once set, re-snug the locking grub screw, re-install the back plate and re assemble the gun, my HW100BP .22 is set for 780fps, it gives me plenty of power and shot count is good around 40 shots per fill, my HW100 T FSB .20 is set for 800 fps, I get about the same 40 shots per fill, if you want to mess with the regulator you will need to buy a regulator adjustment gauge, from
HW100 tuning, lots of good info too....
