Ballistic coefficient of .30 caliber 44.75g pellets out of Smooth Twist barrel?

Michael,
For a 50 yard zero point and 950 fps muzzle velocity:
For 0.042bc The POI at 100 yards with that pellet is -10.07
For 0.052bc The POI at 100 yards with that pellet is -9.18

We discussed this somewhere else with respect to a different pellet and came to the conclusion that the third digit behind the decimal place is pretty much a crap shoot unless you have some pretty precise measuring equipment on an indoor range AND even then it will vary with the individual pellet. The second digit will change between rifles and on colder/warmer days or higher/lower altitudes. It is best to shoot it in from the best available data.

(If you don't get the information you want) You might go with the average of the two measurements. That is going to put you within half an inch at 100 yards. Half a minute isn't that bad and your subsequent groups can help you fine tune it.

Good luck!
