Tuning Balanced my Benjamin Springer today

Before I start this may or may not work for you. Use this information at your own risk. So I have long struggled with my Benjamin summit being too muzzle heavy. I love the gun this was my one issue so I corrected the weight today. I discovered the rear of the stock was hollow so I tried a Phillips head to remove the buttpad it unscrewed easily and behold an empty cavity. So how to fill it? well I needed something that would fill all the gaps. I went to the local Ace got some inexpensive 25 year acrylic latex caulk tubes and a caulk gun and filled the stock with caulk cleaned it up and put the butt pad on resealing the compartment. It worked well for me but again ymmv.

I've used PA pellet foam cut in chunks and crammed in as tight as it can be in case I ever want to sell the rifle. On rifles I know I'll never sell, I've gone so far as to use the black 100% rubberized Silicone to coat the pieces, jam them in, let dry overnight and if I did want a little weight, poke holes in the foam and shove 3 inch bolts in the holes. Only tried that trick on a couple since it's messy and just the PA foam works well on it's own.

Seen many who use plumbers putty in a ziploc bag. Moldable plus easily removed. Old tshirts or shop rags. Rice in a Ziploc bag are a few others.
