OT: Any idea if Hector ever got around to taking care of the people who spent money on his super special Diana pistons & such?

I tried enlarging the picture for a beltter look, really hard to tell whats up. Just cracked from age ? ( shouldnt be right?) Piston slam? At first it looked like a foreing object - part of pleet/other- got in there.

Your best guess? Could we have another picture?

How's the inside of the comp tube look?

Dave is this the same Diana that’s only a couple of months old and that you sent back to where you purchased it from a couple of weeks ago for them to fix. If it is they didn’t do a very good job imo.

yes, I bought it May 1. UPDATE found out the seals are not suppose to be cover in grease, this one was. the cylinder is full of it. some employee must of had a bad day. AOA gave me new seals I will put it back together tonight. with krytox. To damn hot and humid to shoot today. The squirrels have a free day.

Yes too much lubricant is a Nono. When I pull my nitro pistons apart I throughly clean the compression tube with degreaser and then run absorbent paper taped to a dowl rod through the chamber until it’s squeaky clean. I also debur the cocking slit and where the trigger fits into the compression tube so that the seal is not damaged on reinserting.

I use molybdenum but what you are using is heaps better. I only put a slight smear on the piston and and a little smear of silicone oil around the outer edge of the seal making sure nothing gets in front of or on the face of the seal. They diesel for one or two shots but then settle in.

Lets hope your problem is fixed.

Dave you sure you didnt upset someone at the dealer? Just kidding but it does seem you've #1 had a hard time of it & #2 been a bit BS'd by the dealer.

I'm sure the replacement seal was free but did they offer to refund any tuning money? Or this sub-standard work was "free" warranty work? O you put the extra grease in there and I missed that part ?

I have had so many trouble free springer I really feel for you.
