RAW Rapid Bad day with my RAW

I'm seeing something different ... if the vessel with the I.D. threads is under pressure, it pushes towards us as viewed, LOOKS LIKE THE SMOOTH area is what will become a butt joint once screwed on looking as if it is prepped for an o-ring.
In my view the o rings not pushed against threads ..... or am i mistaken on where HP is at & Atmosphere ?

I tried the original O-ring, a new o-ring of the same size and slightly larger cross section o-ring, aired up then loosened the reg slightly (no more than 1/2 turn) and it would not seal. I am also getting air blowing out of the vent hole in the reg now after installing the larger cross section o-ring.

Here is the order of the parts.

This is the part you need:

This 20cc part is designed to be paired with either the 35cc or 45cc extensions. It’s my understanding that none of the extensions will work on their own… at least according to what AF told me.
@Gear_Junkie Are the plenum and the part you suggested generally sold separately?

Kirk...hopefully that will solve Tim's leak issues! 🙏

AF needs to be a little clearer in their descriptions if that is the case. It reads the opposite on the website. Says it’s not stand alone but can be added to the other extensions, even stacked, to add 20cc at a time.

Not saying it’s not the case, I don’t use an extension on my RAW so I have no first hand experience.

Cloud9 seems to have the RAW ciphered and if I remember/read correctly uses or used extensions. Maybe he will chime in as well.

I agree that it could be made more clear. There is a separate note at the bottom of the webpage for this item:

"Note: This RAW 20cc Plenum Extender Extension is an extension, and not a standalone plenum. Must be used in conjunction with a RAW plenum extender system."

It might be more clear to say that it MUST be used in conjunction with either of the 35cc or 45cc extensions.

@Gear_Junkie I think this could be worded more clearly. I thought the 35 and 45cc plenums could be used as standalone units.

Yesterday it was blowing air out the reg vent too so I replaced the large o-ring inside the reg. Before I disassembled the reg I measured the OAL then after rebuilding I returned it to the same OAL so I hope I did not change the reg’s pressure setting?

After I installed the reg, bottle and plenum, for the umpteenth time I aired it up and voila, it held air! Go figure? I have no clue what happened previously or what was different today but it’s holding air … so far.

I did not need the 20cc extension I am only using the 35cc necked down plenum.

Tim...that is GREAT NEWS! I hope the air holds and the plenum does it's job of increasing power for you with a hair more efficiency 👍.
