backyard chipmunk

Last year I had only 2 chipmunks in my backyard. 2 holes in the mulch bed where the bird feeders are. I decided not to shoot them because there were just 2. No problem. This year there are about 15 holes all throughout my backyard and every week it seems like there are a few more. So I decided to take action. Problem is they aren't out when I'm waiting for them. So I randomly look out the windows throughout the day. I opened the hatchway doors to the basement today and when I came up the stairs I saw this little fellow. I had my wildcat .25 at a 90 ° angle to me while I hid on the stairs and looked through the camera.

Like any rodent, uncontrolled they will take over. Try baiting them with wildlife feed or something else with whole peanuts in it. Nice shot by the way

I had 3 or 4 of those buggers in my yard and they would chase each other, go under my deck and hump. But I didnt have to do much hunting so far as a cat nightstalker got one AND a baby rabbit...and my small hand dug 12' pond claimed another...he got caught in the netting that protects the fish and drowned.

I used my 22 marauder to remove a bunch of them last year where I deer bowhunt before season came in. Very irritating when your deer hunting and have these thing chirping and making all kinds of noise. Still didn't get a deer with my bow there, but at least it was nice and peaceful. LOL
