So I was shooting my air rifle in the backyard yesterday. I had the target at 35 yards and looked through the scope and saw that a horse fly landed on the target. I'm sure he's the same fly that took a bite on my leg last year. If it wasn't him I'm sure they're cousins or related. So I decided to get even.

I was using an 80 FPE 30 cal so no worries about me using it inside.

I got bit by a horsefly once..I didn't know it could be so painful!

Yes it hurts almost as bad as a yellow jacket sting.

I was aiming for his heart-lung but I think the shot drifted a little high

personally, I don't think you used enough gun, there is still traces of him on the paper lol. almost had one land long enough for my tired eyes to get the other day, but move to slow in my older age. good shooting blackdiesel

We have to use what's at hand at the time no matter how inadequate it may be. I at least got him in the vitals so he didn't suffer too much. BTW I'm looking forward to your next video. Love your term about ground squirrels after getting a head shot "he's doing the dirty dance" . LOL

I've seen the same thing on a rock from a pellet that has passed through a squirrel

Sometimes even with a few hairs.
