Hey guys, so i have heard from a few people that there is a New Emerald out? Illuminated Version in First Focal Plane? anyone know if there is a new version out and where i can get one? thanks

Aztec Emerald New upgraded?

Hi Mark. I have two Emeralds myself, 5.5-25x50 SFP (on my Red Wolf) and last week I bought a 5.5-25x50 FFP Illuminated (on my Bantam Sniper HR). So, yes, the do exist!
But lest someone here (2manyguns) think that I am a "plant" (undercover paid promoter) for a particular retailer, let me just say that yes, the scope you're interested in is on the market and being sold by "the usual suspects"... if you catch my drift. One particular retailer, who I live near and have had many dealings with, was observed last week with those scopes going out the door like crazy! Two guesses who that retailer is. Looks like those scopes are hot sellers.
Personally, I like the reticle much more in the FFP version. And, the illumination is pretty cool. The reticle in the SFP version is very fine and sometimes difficult to see. But both versions are very nice scopes.

I haven’t found a Aztec ffp yet either, I’ve only looked at a couple of places so far. I also have two of the 5.5-25s and like them both, one was not all that nice so I sent it back and they replaced it with a new one so now both are just fine and now I want to try a FFP that’s hopefully nicer then the cheap one I bought last year.

Do hey have an Illuminated Second Focal Plane? or just First Focal in Illumination? It would be nice if they had illumination on both

Thanks for the info guys, i do have a SFP Aztec Emerald and Love the darn thing. The reticle is really really good, they did a good job on it. I did send and email to Airguns of Arizona and they did inform me that hey have it in and price is 500 dollars, for the First Focal Plane Illuminated model. Gonna pick one up.
