Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 FFP ???

I have been anticipating Aztec developing a FFP scope. While watching one of the latest videos of "Cyclop's" tour of AOE, he purchased a Aztec 5.5-25x50 in first focal plane. But I could find no info on the scope at the websites of AOE or Aztec. Is the scope so new that is is not listed in their systems ? Guess I will have to wait on Joe to give his review when he returns from the EBR event.

Well I'll be dogged Deke, I was about to write you off as merely mistaken about the FFP Aztec until I looked at your picture and it clearly shows FFP in two spaces. I'm not so hot on the quality of glass on the Aztec but the reticle on it is absolutely great … I might be interested in one myself. Why not call up AoA and ask them if it is real and what the price is, be willing to bet that it is higher than the $400 they have been asking for the SFP version.

Yes it is real and available for $499.95 which is not a unreasonable markup over SFP.

Yeah they were gonna announce it at EBR but my dumb ass spilled the beans It's also illuminated. Can't wait to test it when I get back home

Illuminated? poop! and to think I just paid $600 for the Vortex FFP.

I had one (5.5-25x50 FFP) installed on my new Bantam Sniper HR .22 today (at AoA) and launched a few dozen pellet with it. I LIKE it! (I have the SFP version on my RW .22HP.)

Giles was there today... kind of fun seeing him in person. Busy week for AoA!

Bought the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP for $399. Got mine in MOA. Excellent scope!
