Aztec Emerald 5.5-25 Review

Never heard of Aztec before but took a chance on one of these earlier this year while waiting for the new Optisan that never materialized. Glad I did, it’s a great scope, got it on a Taipan Veteran. Thinking about using it on my hunter piston field target TX200HC. Really liked your review Joe, I think it’s worth a look too, thanks!

Joe, good review and I agree with your opinion. I won an Aztec scope at the EBR dinner drawing this year. It's a great scope for the money (of course mine was free). I put it on my FX Wildcat and it is as good or better then the Hawk Side Winder it replaced.

That color forum reminds me of being sent back in time to 1982. It’s the worst site I still can’t understand how they survive it’s almost as bad as

Got to agree with Mr.Joe, the Emerald is just about everything a fella could ask for in the $400 price range. I had to send my first one back in to AoA because of fogginess in the rube ,,, AoA was great about a replacement and have never looked back. Tracking is exceptional, tons of aim points, lock down turrets, great glass clarity ... I like it better than my Sidewinder 8-32x56. Have had it for 6 months now and it's a keeper.

Took me awhile but after reading more reviews and looking at different scopes i decided that the Aztec SFP was the one going on the HMx .357 so I just ordered one and can’t wait to get it next week.

I recently got this scope and am pretty happy with it. That dot at the center is great, glass is clear, focus is sharp and snaps in and out nicely.
Only gripes I have: No illumination. Only 50 MOA turret adjustment.
