Awesome!!! Ataman M2R Bullpup .22

I just acquired a new to me Ataman M2R .22 Bullpup. This is one of the finest shooting bullpups from the shoulder I have ever shot. And it eats everything! I have it tuned to shoot the Hades at 950fps. It is consistently shooting half inch groups at 50 yards. It shoots the JSB 15.89 grain pellets at the same accuracy. Just for fun, I pulled out some Crosman Premiere domes and shot them out to 50. With the same tune, they shot at .75” over a 10 shot mag. Are you kidding??? To be honest, this has got the mushiest trigger I have ever shot. Very smooth, but super mushy, tons of take up, very consistent single stage trigger. With it being very consistent, it is easy to get used to if you shoot it a bunch. Reg is set to 110bar getting about 75 shots at the current tune. I noticed the same gun on the classifieds up for sale for a killer price. Mine is a type 2 with the walnut stock. Someone buy this thing before I spend money I don’t have. Please!

A little more money, but you need to try the Ataman, BP17, if you like short. The front located cocking lever is very nice. Simple, one finger movement, just to the front of the trigger.

I think Pyramyd has one on sale right now. I've had mine for a year or so, zero problems. It has a similar trigger, but not mushy, just single stage, be ready to shoot !

I get the Ataman M2R carbine , rear bolt action in .22 cal . A heavy gun but very accurate with JSB Monster 25gr. About the trigger , I've a modification which I posted some time ago . See below



I recently get a ATAMAN M2 carbine in .22 .Nice gun, but the single stage trigger feeling was horrible : a long spongy pull and suddenly the gun lets off…not predictable at all. So I tried to install a little device to decrease the engagement of the primary sear , making a kind of an "hair trigger".

I put a little piece of steel with a slot in it to move it up or down , the pointed head just below the primary sear. The piece is secured and locked to the breech with a slotted screw ( white arrow on the pic ). A long screw goes through a threaded hole in the trigger to adjust the steel part under the primary sear , pushing it up to increase sensibility.Once the result is reached , this long screw is removed and the slotted screw is locked.

Care must be taken to tune the system,little adjustment at a time, until the primary sear engagement is just enough to cock the gun ; testing the result by giving the gun some good blows to be sure it

 won't fire.

Being not perfect , this modification makes the gun more accurate to shoot.
