Air Venturi avenger soon! how do you like the plastic stock/ strong enough?

Its cheap plastic. BUT, its very lightweight and strong. Really not that bad. I replaced mine. Its a .22 with pretty much everything possible done to it.

The synthetic stock that comes with the new Avenge-X it’s more stronger, beefier and heavier (not hallow) like the ones that came in the first gen Avengers. I currently have four three new Avenge-X and one first gen. I have three classics in wood two .22 and two .25 cal one wood and another with the synthetic stock. From my experience the bigger .25 it’s more accurate than the smaller .22 cal. The best tune for the .25 it’s the one shown in one of the pics. If you’re planning to install a high end scope like a Arken SH-4 second gen FFP 4-16x50 like the ones I have in my four Avengers that comes with the bigger 34mm tube be sure to installed with the high rings to be able to use the high capacity magazines that comes with the new Avenge-X. If you’re planning to shot your Avenger in your backyard and live in a very quiet neighborhood like mine, be sure to install a good moderator. I strongly recommend the Hugget snipe standard. This airguns are considered backyard friendly as well as long they are used with a good moderator. This video was taken shooting one of my Avenge-X .25 cal in my backyard around a bunch of chickens. Plastic stock is fine, maybe add a strap on cheek riser.
Set your reg to about 150 bars or 2200-2400 psi and adjust the hammer spring to your ammo/speed, very good gun for the money.

If you are talking original avenger the plastic stock 150% sucks. Junk…the wood upgrade is worth every penny. The avenger x polymer stock is much better.

My 25 caliber Avenger was my second PCP. I got it so early it was still $300. It was also made before they introduced the wooden stocks so it's stock is plastic. Three pieces. Thin and hollow. I put a bolt on cheek riser on it and a length of pull spacer and it fits me now. But I shoot it the least of any of my PCPs because it is so long. It's accurate and the trigger is now adjusted to my liking (single stage, crisp and reasonably light). I would describe it's stock as functional but not really nice. The plastic picatinny rail does not support a bipod very well (it wobbles) but other than that it is fully functional. It certainly will work until you decide what you want to do with it - assuming yours will be the original.
Things that are great about the original Avenger include the gauge on the plenum and the externally adjustable plenum. It also has good power and is accurate. The thin 3 piece stock may be it's weakest feature.
