I've seen a couple for sale, one metal, one some type of plastic I think. From what I can tell a plenum is nothing more than a round tube threaded at one end and closed at the other, is that correct? If so, could you make one from a piece of threaded PVC capped off at one end?

A "power plenum" is a high pressure reservoir that not only must only safely withstand the output pressure of the regulator, but also the full reservoir pressure in the event the regulator goes into bypass mode. In the case of the Avenger, that means as much as 4350psi. Hopefully it's clear that PVC isn't a suitable material for such a device.

I'm fairly new to pcp airguns, so please excuse my ignorance , you learn by asking questions. I learned that the plenum from Doux Technologies is aluminum, not black plastic as it appeared, that's what had me confused. So, has anyone tried making one out of some type of metal pipe, just curious. I've tried googling DIY plenum, but found nothing.
