Avenger .22 shooting JSB 15.9 GR and 18.1 GR at 26 yards. Rifle zero is 50 yards, but only could shoot 26 today.....Baracuda Match 21.14 gr went all over the place.

Great shooting, but then you know what your doing - interesting that the groups didn't shift very much - wouldn't have expected that.

I'm going to adjust Hammer spring and test over chrony/target. I think one full turn reduces FPS by 100. ? My Marauder shoots .25 Kings lights out at 860 FPS and I have another rifle that shoots 15.9 gr JSB at 940 no problem....So I plan to reduce speed by 50 FPS.

Not a big difference but then there was only 2.3 GR difference in weight. Wind was nil....I just now measured from red bull to bottom of each group and there is 1/4" difference.

Have a go with the JSB 14.3's as well. You may have to reduce your hammer energy to put them in the 800's.

I reduced HS last night and plan to run on chrono later this morning,,,,, I do have some JSB 14.3.

The windage looks like maybe a half inch; I guess Barracuda's don't like the speed or maybe the gun doesn't do well with them? Thanks for doing this and posting it - I've been very interested in this gun for a while.

Right about windage. I have not tweaked it yet. I have 4 new tins of Baracudas so I;ll give them another chance later on. Maybe in the DAR when I get it back.
Going to give the trigger some time...have not touched it yet.

My approach was to not "hot Rod" it and keep fill to abt, 3500 psi and regulator around 1900-2200....doing that takes stress off reg and associated seals. Keep your manual handy as it is an excellent guide to get started with.
