Air Venturi Avenge x

no, regulator should stay the same as where it's originally set at. I don't own any Avenge X's, but on my guns if they have a high/low selector it means it adjusts the amount of air pushed into the pellet after it leaves the regulator. or something like that. I'm sure someone else will chime in the a more 'technical' explanation.

No nothing is wrong. That high/low switch just adjusts the size of the transfer port. The transfer port is basically the hole through which the air from the valve flows through the gun into the hole in your barrel to propel the pellet. On low power it is just restricting the size of that hole, allowing less air to flow to the barrel.
