Have come across this interesting fact, about Weihrauch HW 97 that is being available in Australia.
It is required to have holes in the front muzzle tube. According to their law, that is considered a silencer,
therefore some holes are to be drilled. Don't know if the factory provides this alteration, but they have
to have it. Most likely does not effect the performance of the gun, and all it proves is the ignorance of
the people elected to legislate the industry.

Here (Australia) the 97 is advertised as having a fixed barrel with a muzzle break. Can’t see any holes drilled as such in any of the local advertising as show in your picture. Maybe using Weihrauch pictures. And yes we are not allowed to have a suppressors without a permit (contract shooters and primary producers excepted) however imo air rifles don’t need them.
