I have to say, the five can challenge is an absolute blast. I decided to do it off hand, just for fun. It’s something I enjoy. And I like putting myself in the moment of competition. Believe me, when it comes down to shots four and five and you’re videoing yourself at distance...The heart rate jumps up and it’s just like being at a match, maybe more.
The distances of the shots are as follows: first shot 98 yards, second shot 90, third shot 83 fourth shot 75, fifth shot 67. All laser ranged.
One of the shots didn’t explode the can like the rest. I barely hit the top of the can. You can see it shoot water but it’s not the same reaction. That’s where the luck comes in.
I shot my 20 foot pound Steyr field target rifle. Pellets are some old school sorted Crossman heavies from 1999. I had them left over from nationals. I don’t normally sort-ever. Scope is a March 10-60, I have it set on 50.
I did this four times today on video. This one was the best. I’m going to post them all on the main forum under Shooting the Breeze
if my entry is disqualified because I took so long, I’ll plead offhand. I did it much quicker when I started at 45 and ended at 67. It’s a little tougher when you get way out there. It’s still a very short 3 min. In between shots I had to adjust the scope for distance, and then try to settle in.
