Today I finally got my Benjamin Marauder. Took it outside -- WOW louder than I thought. I need this super backyard-friendly, so had already bought a DonnyFL Koi moderator with the cone end that Donny recommended. Thing is ... both the barrel and the moderator are female threaded. What do I do to attach the moderator?

Have you called Donny to ask him why he recommended that specific set up since you told him it's specifically for your Mararder?

To attach the KOI, you must get an adapter for your gun...choose either Prod or Mrod adapter (you didn't specify which Marauder you own).

I contacted him and he got back to me, recommending the adapter above. I didn't know I needed one and I guess he assumed I would have known better. But I'm a newbie and don't know much! So I ordered it. Thanks for the responses, guys. I was surprised at how loud the pistol was. It takes a big backyard to make that sound backyard friendly.

Which Marauder? I have 2 .177 and had a .22 and they were about as quiet as I have ever had. However, I know you guys like those bigger caliper ones and I assume they are much louder! Hope the adapter and Koi gets your setup real quiet!

Thanks! It's just the standard Marauder pistol. Came with 2000 PSI. The first shot kinda startled me, after seeing so many Marauder pistol videos that sounded so quiet.

Oh that makes sense! The marauder pistols are quite loud. The marauder rifles though are very quiet and usually the benchmark that guns are compared to on how quiet they are.

Yeah I remember reading that and hoping the pistols would be a bit worse but not much. But I can see now that I'll definitely need that moderator. Luckily everyone says Donny ships real quickly, and my Koi didn't take too long.
