I received my Atomic XR in March of 2022, it was love at first grip for me… Initially I mounted an Aztec Emerald 6-24x50 FFP SF IR that I had at hand. But the scope was almost as long as the gun. Thereafter, mounted a WHT 3-12x44 FFP SF IR, which kept the rig “small and light”. Over the months and through lots of shooting and pesting, the little beast was continually impressing me. Though I was seeing and doing it, the accuracy, the consistent first round hits out to 50+ yards, were amazing to me. For fun, in good conditions I plink small cans out to 102 yards. The hits I get, have me bothering my wife with my backyard exploits. Zero tinkering or adjusting on my part. Just thousands of pellets down range grouping, pesting and lots, lots of plinking. Hundreds of pest birds, a few rats, woodchucks and chipmunks would attest to its effectiveness. Since it’s arrival “all” my other PCPs just sat in the safe. I write “sat” because my soon to arrive, second Atomic is taking those spaces in the safe. I’ve found that I can do a lot with sub 20 FPE, my Atomic is just about 17 FPE at the muzzle.
