Atomic XR 8 birds and one woodchuck...

Third time was the charm on the chuck, I had previously missed a shot at it. The second time I blew the stalk. Today I literally crawled to that hay bail, which put me 25 yards away. First shot anchored it and I sent a second for good measure. The birds all at 30 yards. Last night I left 14 birds on top of pictured drum. Today there was only one body, and a head left. Left today’s kill there for whatever is eating them. The Atomic is an awesome little rig.

@ranchibi, thanks. I crawled like I was stalking a trophy. Must confess to feeling bad for the chuck, but the owners are very happy to have them culled. They have dug under many structures there. So I have to make an effort at them, two more known locations for me to glass, alas for the chucks.😏

@ghostranger169, thanks, the sparrows and starlings I have patterned and have a 30 yard kill set up. It's their entry point into the hoop house, a 2 foot slash in the screening. As they perch up to come in they get a lead surprise, the Crosman Premiers really make a loud smack when they hit the sparrows... The Atomic XR is proving to be quite capable and I'm spoiled by the light weight and small size.
