Atomic vs. Pathfinder XR… 8, 5 shot groups

Just some casual shooting after the evenings shower to wash off the work week. Sending Crosman Premier Hollow Points. Tailwind at 4 mph, bipod front, shoulder as rear bag, scopes on 12x for both guns. Athlon 6x24-50 Helos on Pathfinder XR and Westhunter 3-12x44 on Atomic XR. A better shooter with quality pellets would do better. My next shoot off will be with JSB Exact Jumbo 18s. The Atomic is sending them at 725 fps, the Pathfinder at 846 fps.

So which platform are you liking best?

Depends, if I were forced to pick just one? It would be the Atomic XR, it can do whatever I would practically use the Pathfinder for. And I’m not dependent on SCBAs or a HPA compressor. That said, I’m really liking the Pathfinder XR for my backyard plinking sessions. Lots of shots between fills. At least seven, eleven shot magazines from a 250 BAR fill. As time allows I’m looking to unleash her on some farm pests.

I have the Atomix XR .22 and really like it . The only thing that would make it better is more shots per fill, so maybe a pathfinder is in my future. The biggest thing I've found out is you really have to concentrate when shooting to get good groups because of the short barrel. I usually shoot ( 7 other pcp's) off a Caldwell tack driver bag with a small bag for rear support.
This doesn't wotk for my Atomic. I ordered a Magpul bipod https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DM7DFMQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details
which I'm very happy with. It took me 3 months to figure out that I needed to preload the bipod to get the best groups.
I have a Brocock compatto with a bottle and have owned 3 other Brococks or BRK so I like the brand
Other pcp's: Fx Impact .25., FX Impact Compact .22, Ataman M2R Ultra Compact .22, FX Wildcat Compact .22, Huben K1 .22, AGT Tactical .22, Brocock Compatto .177
