Is this scope worth the money? It would be for night time pest shooting out to 50yds?
Why not the 5-20? I have had both and prefer he 5-20. Once you use it and get used to the menu, it works great. Like has been said, it IS heavy and definitely a bench scope, at least for me. Ditto on the after market battery. However, you can use any larger capacity battery, like you use for cell phones, that will accept usb cables."BeemanR7"I shoot coyotes at night at 50 yards. I couldn't do what I do without my X-Sight. It has it's issues, but for night hunting, it's the least expensive option. I got mine used for less than half price. Look around for a bargain. There should be plenty if you're patient. It's indeed heavy, so bags or tripod is best. If you get one, get the 3-14, NOT the 5-20. And do get the optional battery pack because it's power hungry and impractical to use on the onboard batteries.
I don't know what that means."sirk"imagine if you had AAA batteries in you mobile phone. enough said.
