ATN X-Sight ABL re-locator

Found this on eBay awhile back and finally decided to pick one up. It moves the ABL towards the center of the scope rather than hanging it off the end and adding inches to it's length. It comes from the UK and arrived in less than ten days. Extremely easy install and makes things much more compact. It's just a simple 3d printed two piece clam-shell type of thing.

With the re-locator installed on the SK-19

Without the re-locator on the Impact

Also found another re-locator that allows one to mount the ABL remotely on Picatinny, MLOC or Keymod rails

Good find,

One thing that came to my mind when first seeing this set up was , why is it not set back,

but my mind quickly move on to, why don't ATN build the ABL into the X sight.

And that thought is where "my mind" is at still.
This is old but I thought I’d reply. Originally ATN didn’t make the ABL built in because some states don’t allow hunting scopes to have integrated lasers or assisted aiming/rangefinders or indeed even NVD/thermal. So they make the ABL separate and also have a daytime (no NV/Thermal) version called the “buckhunter”. That way, if you live in a state where abl isn’t legal to hunt, you can hunt with what the law allows and still be able to use it to hunt different states with it.
But now actually with the new gen 5 they’ve released recently, they no longer make the daytime version/buckhunter (that I’m aware of?). They also integrated the ABL into a version called LRF. So, they do offer it now. With or without an integral ABL.
