ATN X-Sight 2

Alan has some videos on youtube (linked at the bottom). It is a frustration. The firmware is flakey. A new release of teh firmware was due first of December but has not shown. I believe that the vendor is trying to get it out the door before shot show. That release will enable the blue tooth which is not enabled in this release. I'll link some of my video here and I'm Alan will link his when he sees the thread.

The hardware platform is brilliant. The potential is limited by the firmware and that can always be fixed. Right now the vendor is pushing the platform's capabilities and I think trying to get complimentary devices out as quickly as possible.

I have mine on my D48 as a torture test. I've got about 150 through it so far. Everything seems to work still. There is a forum http://atnowners.com. There are a lot of experienced users there and most problems you will run into (and you will run into problems) can be addressed there. ATN is somewhat spotty when it comes to service / support.

If I were you, I'd research it very carefully. There are days when I really like mine and there are days when I'd just as soon throw it in the river.

Here's Alan's work he does a lot nicer job:

I just had the 5 X 20 and wound up returning it for the following reasons:

1) As Oldspook mentioned the firmware is not stable. It freezes up a lot, so badly that I had to take the batteries out.
2) The focus knob is so ridiculously hard to turn I think my thumb and index and middle fingers are muscular now.
3) Its pretty damn heavy (which is expected for all the stuff it can do crammed into one device)
4) The FOV was not wide enough for me on the 5 X 20
5) I found the range finder to be inaccurate, it uses trig to calculate the distance but for smaller targets it just didnt work.

There are good qualities though, the technology is really cool and holding all constant you really cant get anything else with all the functionality near the price range. I am waiting to see about firmware releases and may purchase the 3 X 14 instead.
The recordings come out really nice in the day time and the One Shot Zero feature is awesome. I also really liked to be able to use my ZTE Spro Projector to display whatever the scope was seeing on a big screen. One thing that kinda sucked is that you cant share the video and record at the same time.

Hope that helps, I will send you some of the videos I took if you would like.
