Baffles can make some improvement, but to make a significant change, need to add distance between barrel and end of shroud. Move shroud forward, longer shroud, LDC, etc.

I've done some research and I'm wondering of which of three options show I try.
I'm a machinist and I'm capable of making most anything and was thinking a baffle system.
Buy a Crossman core and modify it.
Or just save up and buy donnyfl

If you want quiet, either get the donnyfl or make a similar sized one. Option 3 is make a longer and larger diameter shroud, baffles and air stripper. You'll be spending many many hours in the shop to save just $170 on excellent donnyfl. I also have a machine shop and would buy if I was needing one. Baffles in the factory shroud will never come close to donnyfl results and his quality is second to none. You'll need the adapter for the can too. Just remember to get the .25 set for the .22 as they recommend due to the less than perfect barrel/shroud alignment the Liberty has.

The DonnyFL is the easiest and the most proffesional solution you could do, but a bit pricey. If you are looking at a particular DIY approach and have specific questions, I'd be glad to help.
