Athlon Heras 6-24x56 for entry level FT build?

Good morning guys, I am working my way into FT , having really enjoyed the Athlon Helos 2-12 BTR on 3 of my rifles currently I was looking at this scope as an option of course in SFP option as it has a reticle I like , I like MIL and I like a christmas tree reticle. Big fan of familiarity so trying to keep reticles similar to these three Athlons and my Valdada I run.

Can anyone recommend this scope as a good option for a beginner FT setup?
 
I run the Heras 4-20X50 on my HFT pistol and it works great. It has 16X marked on it. I have shot the pistol out to 55 yards. Ranging with this scope is very good, not as good as their higher end scopes, but this one does very nicely for what I use it for.

That is great news, maybe the 4-20 would be better choice for me to keep the weight down then ?

Ah I just saw that they don't have a christmas tree reticle for that scope, but good to hear that it works well!

I'm guessing you'll start in Hunter/16x max?? If so the 4-20 would be fine but if you go to Open then the extra 4x of the other Heras will help you range better.

BTW those 2-12's do great ranging in PFT.

Nevertheless if going into WFTF, Open, or Unlimited, I suggest the Heras 15-60 or ETR 15-60. You can still do well in Hunter at 15x with this scope because it snaps in and out of focus well at 15x and it has higher IQ than most scopes out there.

Steve is so right!!!!! The wife has the ETR 15-60X56 on her HFT 👻 and the focus is out of this world.........But I am telling you, the Heras will get you there also.

Yes - you won't be disappointed - I have been using the 6 x 24 for about a year. - its offered in First and Second focal plane, Mil or MOA, and it ranges very good. If second focal plane is you thing - the subtensions are calibrated to 16X - perfect if your shooting hunter class.

I ordered from from Cameraland NY , they have the best deals and good customer service , should see it the same day the rifle shows up.
