I would have been happy with the 4-20 but it wasn't available. For some strange reason my FFP scopes usually end up on 10x when I'm using them, unless I'm shooting on the bench or longer distances.

Hi Corvid_hunter. It sounds like I maybe helped talk you into buying a bigger scope than you needed. I hope you find the extra 4-power magnification and light-gathering ability useful enough to justify the extra 10 ounces of weight and the extra $30 (ish) higher cost. I suppose you won't know for sure until you've had it mounted on your rifle for a while. I hope you keep us posted as to your experience with it.

Don't worry about talking me into something I didn't want. It's not my first 34mm tube and I do like the extra magnification. If I decided somewhere down the road that I wanted the lighter version, this scope would migrate to another rifle and still be put to good use.
